So very basic question here; I know the Surface 3 has an eMMC interface for the storage, however, I don't know what interface the Surface 3 uses to read the microSD card. In essence, what's the ceiling on microSD card speeds on the Surface 3? I don't think microSD readers have practical limits. At least good-quality ones, like this. So, just like with eMMC, the interface isn't really the limiting factor. The chips themselves will be what they are.

If so, I'd be interested putting other games such as minecraft of pillars of eternity on SD cards. Totally depends on the card. The speed of the slot appears to outpace the speed of any cards available today. Thanks for the info!
